Stage notes
Yes. Your script crosses the network once, at upload, for dialogue extraction, and the source PDF is not retained after parsing. The parsed result lives in a local database on your device. That database rides along in whatever device backup you already use (Android Auto Backup to your own Google Drive, or iCloud and encrypted local backups on iPhone), so a phone swap doesn't lose your Repertoire. Synthesized audio (TTS) is excluded from backup on both platforms and stays on your device. No human reads your script, and LineRunner never sells or shares script content. Eighteen public-domain plays at launch — a mix of Shakespeare comedies, drawing-room classics like Wilde and Chekhov, family-friendly stage adaptations (Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, A Christmas Carol), and audition-ready one-acts.
Every Library script is reviewed against profanity, slurs, and heavy sexual or violent content. Thematic content (mortality, mild peril) is allowed.
A PDF with real text in it. LineRunner handles the layouts scripts actually arrive in: published plays, sides from a callback, screenplays, table-read drafts. Keep each upload under 24 MB, make sure the pages are legible and in order, and split a very long play act by act if LineRunner tells you it is over the page limit. A file that is only photographs of pages has no text to extract, so run it through a scanning app that produces a text PDF first.
